Responsibilities includes:
- Plan and monitor import and export shipping arrangement in accordance to requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales Team, transporters and freight forwarders to ensure the timely delivery.
- Provide routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure on time deliveries and goods tracking route to correct destination.
- Coordinate on fumigation activity and containers movement.
- Negotiate with transporters / forwarders for continual cost reduction measure and request for shipping quotation for new project quoting.
- Update transportation cost for project quoting purpose.
- Ensure customer’s latest Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) always in place to avoid hiccup in delivery.
- Verify transporter/ freight forwarders’ invoice and transactions are updated in system without failed.
- Mail or create/upload invoices to customer’s web site/system respectively.
- Prepare new or renewal on product costing analysis for Certificate of Origin through Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
- Prepare weekly report.
- Sample dispatching.
- As & when directed, to perform other duties of similar and associated nature of work.
Requirements:
- At least a Diploma or equivalent in relevant field
- 1-2 years experience in shipment coordination
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Good verbal and written communication skills and well versed in English
- Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
- A team player with high level of dedication
